Before you jump to Chinese Chicken & Mushroom recipe, you may want to read this short interesting healthy tips about Tracking Your Meals: The Right Way to Do It.
When you start a diet one of the most often heard pieces of advice is to keep a food journal in which you write down every thing you eat during the day. Keeping a food log makes it possible to identify the foods you are eating as well as the foods you are not eating. One example is that, after tracking your nutrition for a few days you may realize that you are consuming far too many sugars and unhealthy fats but not nearly enough organic nutrients. Having it all written down may help you recognize the parts of your diet that need to change as well as how much exercise you need to get to make sure that you burn enough calories to keep your waistline in check.
But what happens if you write every little thing down but no pounds drop off of you? You can track your foods the right way or the incorrect way. A food record is a lot more than just a straightforward list of the foods you eat during a day. Other varieties of important information will need to be written down also. Here are a number of the points you need to do to be more effective at food tracking.
Record your feelings whenever you eat. This could show you if you use food to solve emotional issues. This will likely show you whether or not you gravitate in the direction of specific foods based on your mood. Many of us will reach for junk foods if we are disappointed, angry or depressed and will be more likely to choose healthier options when we are happy or content. Not only will this let you notice when you reach for precise foods based on your mood, it will help you find ways to keep healthier (but similar) selections on hand for those same moods and help you figure out whether or not someone professional can help you deal with the issues that are sending you towards certain foods in the first place.
